We are focused on identifying exceptional founders leading high growth businesses. We then work with the founders and provide support for them, their team and their business – this is what sets us apart from the rest.
We are one of the most experienced providers of early-stage investment to startups in Australia. We provide more than just our capital to help the best founders build and grow amazing tech businesses that disrupt industries and change the world. Our portfolio of over 20 startups includes some of Australia’s most exciting startups, including Airtasker, GO1 and Sendle.Meet Our Team
We provide Angel, Seed and Series A capital to scalable technology-based startups. But we provide a lot more than just money. We bring to bear a sophisticated set of business and marketing skills to help the founders we invest in succeed. Some of our most recent investments are featured below:
our founders say
Black Sheep Capital have an investment philosophy.
Our “everyone wins” approach that helps founders to create and grow opportunities where all parties can succeed. We recognise that the best financial results come from the strongest connections – so we place a very high value on creating strong and lasting relationships.
Our aim is to be the best angel and seed level investor for up and coming founders to want to work with. This means being fair and straightforward at every step of the investment process, from first pitch through to exit. We actively support founders and are always willing to get involved, but never try and run their business for them.
Our philosophy informs our approach to business: no-nonsense, grounded and blunt. Our terms are fair and equitable, our intentions clear and honest. Put simply, we don’t waste people’s time and we focus on where we can add real value to every business we work with.
